Road to 25 Pts Part II

So I have been a little busy with getting as much as possible out of the way for this tournament. I tried to prioritize models but I have failed miserably, I have been jumping around here and there getting little bits done here and there. But anyways here are some models.

Starting my KEE
Since this is going to be a Steamroller tournament I figured it would be good to break out the Knights Exemplar Errant unit I have had collecting dust since I received this trade.

KEE W/Bow

KEE W/ Sword

So I separated the parts out and found that I could make all the KEE have swords and shields if I wanted or I could do 6 with swords and 4 with crossbows. I opted to put one of each together and see how they came out. I like the bow guys a lot actually so I will be making the 6/4 unit. These are the guys I will be working on for the next 3 days, so hopefully I can get the all cleaned up and start putting paint to them by tomorrow.

Choir Leader
Choir Acolyte

Group Shot
And my min choir is done, So 2 Pts down there. I like how these guys came out, I may adjust my paint scheme slightly for the Jacks but over all I am happy with it.

So there you go, I am on my way to the 10 man unit being ready for paint, I have one light almost done (no pictures yet), my Crusader, another light, and the Vassal of Menoth. I will also be putting up an article about a conversion I have in progress about taking a Revenger and making it into Blessing of Vengeance to be used with pSevvy. Hopefully I can do a well enough job and the tournament coordinator will allow me to use it... maybe I should get my wracks ready just in case...

Well anyways,

So stay tuned and don't forget to have fun.

Road to 25 Pts

So after a long... a very long time, I have finally been able to find people to play Warmachine with. I have been big into the modeling aspect of this hobby for a while, yes I may not have finished painting many models but I can put together plastic, metal, and resin models with my eyes blindfolded and my hands tied behind my back.

In my previous article I wrote that I had acquired a small Protectorate of Menoth army.

This is what I have:

Warcasters

pKreoss
pSevvy

Jacks

3 Repenters
2 Revengers
2 Vanquishers
2 Crusaders
1 Guardian

Units

Choir
Exemplar Cinerators
Holy Zealots with Monolith Bearer
Knights Exemplar Errants & UA

Solos

Paladin Order of the Wall
Vassal of Menoth
Wracks

So as you can see I have well over 25 points here, so what is my road to 25 points you ask? Well I have my first 25 pt Steamroller tournament on the 14th of October. So I have to have 2 25 point lists with two different casters and character restrictions.

Here is what I have figured out for my lists ... sorta of limited but it's all I have and with my other projects it's not possible to get lists that are full potential:

List 1

pKreoss
-Crusader
-Revenger
-Repenter
Min Choir
Knights Exemplar Errants with UA
Vassal

List 2

pSevvy
-Blessing of Vengeance
-Crusader
-Repenter
Min Choir
Knights Exemplar Errants & UA
Vassal

So as you can see pretty basic lists, I am going up against a meta that has some pretty serious players so I don't expect much but I figured I would challenge myself with getting the above lists completely assembled and painted.

So in this series of articles I will be walking through my WIP models, finished models, and the actual tournament coverage.

So stay tuned everyone and remember to have fun.

New Directions

Well once again I have failed to keep my blog up to date. I am not sure why this is, maybe this time will be different ...

My last post was dedicated to a challenge of a 2000+ point Necron army in pretty much one go. I had 90% of the army assembled and about 50% painted when 6th edition dropped. So long story short the only products from GW I own now are paints...

I did get a good return on selling the Necrons in which I used to buy my loving wife a iPad for school. However I had traded for a small Protectorate of Menoth force at around the same time I had acquired most of the Necrons, so my focus has turned to Warmachine.

While all this was happening I had the happen-chance to run into an individual that was interested in playing Warmachine, eventually he picked up Khador and we went from there. To date we have had 4 battle box games, 2 3 way battle box games and a 15 point game. A coworker and friend has also moved on from GW and now owns Skorne and Circle starter armies. Oh and for my birthday I picked up a small Cygnar force, mainly the battle group and the start of a Nemo3 list. So along with the 3 of use plus a pretty active Warmachine gaming scene I have finally been able to get back on the horse and paint and play.

So I will be taking this blog into a new direction ... again. I will be posting more content about my WIP for each set of minis, showing off what I have actually finished and will have Bat-reps with pictures and possibly in the future video plus other hobby related content.

So stay tuned everyone and don't forget to have fun.

Necrons!

So with the new edition of 40k coming out next year and the Necrons finally getting a revamp I figured I would jump into the game again. With the help of bartertown I was able to move most of my unused stuff for stuff that I will use. I traded/sold away everything except my Menoth from PP and used what I had left over to pick up about 1800 points of Necrons.

A few pictures of what I have in store for myself:

4 Necron Arks, I plan on magnetize these in order to swap them between Doomsday and Ghost arks. I am doing an article on how I did it, so stay tuned for that.

Warriors - 28ish ... got these in a trade from Barter town and they said 28 but there seems to be much more than that
More warriors - 2 box sets for 24 warriors
2 Barges - this is 2 of 3, I got one early for Christmas and put it together already, pictures later (hopefully)
Destroyers and Lord
The whole group shot of Warriors, Arks, and Barges

So as you can see I have a lot of work to do... Wish me luck!

Been a while

So I haven't been posting for a while. Life has gotten in the way once again... coupled with getting orders out of NC, trying to sell the house and getting everything ready to move ... takes a lot of time. However I have been able to get some stuff partially painted and half a unit fully painted...

Here are a few pictures of what I have been up to:

Start of one of my armies

So I finally got around to getting a model put together and what not, so here are some WIP photos.

So when I decided to start this back up I had to pick an army to get into since I had sold everything. I decided to give Retribution of Scyrah from Privateer Presses Warmachine a go. My first model is the Phoenix Heavy 'Jack. I'll continue to add more and more and I will eventually branch into Hordes with either Gators or Pigs.

Anyways, my scheme is going to be green highlighted to a yellow with silver accents for this Warjack... the army will share the green for most of the armor and capes but with variations to accessories and what not to kind of give a little uniqueness to each model/unit.

So here it is:

Retribution of Scyrah Phoenix ... Sorry for the horrible pictures ... I couldn't seem to find my desk lamps that I used to use to take pictures out of this light box (probably threw them out too) and I couldn't get my gradient back ground printed either so the pics are very meh.

So there you have it. Once I find what I did with
the lights I will be able to take some better pictures and than also get some pictures up of what I have done recently.

Have Fun!
